I just bought a new Inspire 1 Remote Controller and I'm having the same problem. I can't get it to recognize a USB stick with latest firmware. Can't calibrate the sticks, etc. It won't connect to an IPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 3 with two cables that work fine with my original Remote Controller.
